Earn While You Shop!

(September 2012) Welcome back returning student and new kindergarteners! I hope everyone had a great summer and collected a lot of Box Tops. This school year we will be collecting Box Tops, Campbell's Labels and Tyson chicken labels.

We will also be participating in the Kroger Points Program. This is a free program for anyone who shops at Kroger. I will be sending home the barcodes soon and once you receive them, have the cashier at Kroger scan it one time and the store does the rest. The school will earn points for each dollar you spend and the school is able to purchase supplies for our teachers and students. Please share the barcode with family and friends who shop at the Kroger on Mechanicsville Turnpike.

Box Tops were a huge success last year. We surpassed our goal of $4000 and we are hoping to collect $4500 this year. This money goes to the PTA to help fund programs for our teachers and students. As in years past, we will be having contests for teachers and students throughout the year to help boost our collecting. A gift card will be given to the teacher whose class turns in the most Box Tops each month. The current contest is that the top three students with the most Box Tops will win gift cards to Target—1st place is $100, 2nd is $50 and 3rd is $25. This contest will end on September 28th.

Campbell's Labels are also collected throughout the year. The school is able to purchase equipment for the school with the points. Last year we purchased the Green Safety Men out by the school drop off loop.

Tyson's chicken has labels for education on them as well. The school receives twenty-seven cents for each label.

See what products are eligible. You can help by saving and forwarding proofs of purchase to your local school. School's will redeem them for FREE merchandise such as computers, software, physical education equipment, musical instruments, library books or even a minivan, from Campbell's Labels for Education
